Iceland: Day 2

On day 2 we left our hotel to drive the Golden Circle. We stopped at Þingvellir National Park. The weather in Iceland could be so nice and sunny, just beautiful and 15 minutes later you could be in a snow storm. There is literally nothing here and you could see it coming a long way off. Here is the road. We were the only ones on it and the only way to tell where you were driving are these orange stakes.

Next we drove to Geysir and stopped to see someone's horses along the way.

Arrived in Geysir. The big geyser goes off every 10 minutes or so.

Next, we drove to Gullfoss

We headed back to Reykjavik. We drove around the bay and had horse and mink whale for dinner

Iceland: Day 1

We flew to Keflavik, Iceland from Sanford Airport in Orlando, got our rental car and went out to explore before checking into our hotel in Reykjavik.

The Blue Lagoon  was closed until 10am, so we drove to Grindavilkur

At Blue Lagoon, we swam in the geothermal spring and put silica mud on our skin. If snowed a bit while we were swimming

We got to Reykjavik, checked into FossHotel Lind and went exploring

Oliver is 4

Oli turned 4 this year. Oliver, you are an outdoors man! You wake up in the morning and head outside in your batman underwear with your breakfast smoothie. You never make it inside when you come home after school. You take care of your Dooley so well. You are stubborn but so funny and you have so many little girlfriends in your class.
