Our last day at the apartment

Trip to Georgia and Dean's

We took a couple day trip to Georgia and Dean's before school started up again. 

 We went to the beach. It was the most perfect day!

Nicolae is 7!

Nicolae turned 7 and he's ready to start 2nd grade. He wanted a Lego cake so we had a few friends over for dinner and cake.

We drove to Newfound Gap where we watched the storm come in

Clingman's Dome-we hid in the gift shop for a bit until the rain was gone:

We had lunch and walked to the top of the dome

 The kids have been super cranky about the walk when we do it on a paved road. They seemed to enjoy off-roading much better. So, on the way down, we took a trail that was supposed to be short but it was back woods. This trail ended up taking us an hour or so through the brush but it was a really nice hike
